Hideout Busted In South Kashmir, Arms & Ammunition Recovered

 Security forces busted a militant hideout in the Awantipora sub-district of  Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Thursday.
During the operation, arms and materials used for making Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were recovered.
They said a joint team of Police along with Army 42 RR and CRPF 130 battalion busted the hideout in a government school at Larmoh Awantipora.
Police said that acting on a specific input joint forces launched a combing operation in the Larmoh and during the search operation the hideout was busted.
” Incriminating material including a grenade, UBGL, pistol magazine, some rounds, an electric detonator, four normal nonelectric detonators, a PTD switch, a normal Switch, 10 mtrs of safety fuse wire, two 9v batteries (material used in fabricating of an IED), a Data cable, two Roll, and bucket was recovered from the said hideout,” police said.
A case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Awantipora and further investigation going on.
The recovery was made days ahead of the Republic Day. Security has been tightened across the valley for the upcoming Republic Day.
