Srinagar: AIP President and MP Baramulla, Er Rasheed, met with LG Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan on Saturday and briefed him on the urgent demands of the people of North Kashmir.
Er Rasheed submitted a memorandum addressing the pressing issues affecting all North Kashmir assembly segments. He urged LG Sinha to review the cases of terminated government employees and sought intervention for the release of all prisoners lodged in and outside jails of Jammu and Kashmir.

He also highlighted the difficulties faced by the public in relation to police verifications, demanding an immediate halt to the harassment of youth and others under the guise of verification.

Er Rasheed further requested that the LG convey to the central government that if it can engage in dialogue with the people of Ladakh and the North East, it should also engage with the people of Jammu and Kashmir to resolve their legitimate issues and political rights.

He stressed the importance of maintaining human rights, self-respect, and the dignity of ordinary people at all costs.
Er Rasheed also called for the swift disposal of pending passport cases and urged the LG to ensure that youth are issued passports without unnecessary complications.

In addition, he emphasised the need for accountability and transparency in governance, reminding the LG that the primary duty of any public servant is to serve the people impartially, without corruption or bias.

LG Manoj Sinha assured AIP President and MP Baramulla, Er Rasheed, that he would seriously consider the issues brought to his attention by the MP.
