The Sub Divisional Magistrate Gurez Mukhtar Ahmad Ahanger issued an order on Thursday stating that in view of heavy snowfall all schools in Gurez Sub division will remain closed up to March 15.
The order reads “in view of the heavy snowfall in Gurez Sub division, avalanche threat and the prevailing weather conditions, it has been observed that the movement of the students and staff remains severely affected. Considering the safety and well-being of all concerned, it is hereby ordered that all the schools of Gurez Sub division shall remain closed up to 15 March 2025”.
