Today, 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗞𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗬𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘃, 𝗜𝗣𝗦, 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗿 for District Reasi, chaired a high-level Election preparedness review meeting at the Conference Hall, District Police Lines (DPL) Reasi. The meeting was convened in connection with the forthcoming General Elections to the Legislative Assembly (GELA)-2024 to ensure a smooth and secure electoral process.

The meeting was held in the presence of 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟱𝟲-𝗚𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗵 (𝗦𝗧) 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗦𝗵. 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗷 𝗞𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶, 𝗜𝗔𝗦, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟱𝟳-𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶 & 𝟱𝟴-𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗩𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗻𝗼 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗶 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗦𝗵. 𝗔𝘃𝗶 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗱, 𝗜𝗔𝗦. The focus was on reviewing and enhancing security protocols, logistical arrangements and infrastructure at the strong rooms, with an emphasis on fortifying measures against potential security threats and to provide a cordial, hassle free atmosphere to the voters.

SSP Reasi, 𝗦𝗵. 𝗚𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘃 𝗦𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿, 𝗜𝗣𝗦, gave a comprehensive presentation on the current security arrangements in place for the election. The PowerPoint presentation outlined the preparedness of law enforcement agencies and the strategies adopted to ensure the smooth,free and fair conduct of the elections. 

The meeting was attended by Sh. Nisar Mohamad, Commanding Officer 126 Bn CRPF, Sh. Satish Kumar Singh, Commandant CISF Unit OHTPP and other officers from District Police and CAPFs.

The discussions focused on ensuring robust security measures and maintaining high vigilance throughout the election period to mitigate any potential risks. The meeting underscored the commitment of all stakeholders to ensure a peaceful and orderly electoral process.
