KULGAM:District Legal Services Authority Kulgam in collaboration with FCS &CA Kulgam organized a programme on National Consumer Rights Day at Town Hall Kulgam under the Chairmanship of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kulgam Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Bhat and under the guidance of Secretary District Legal Services Authority Kulgam Ms. Tabassum Qadir Parray.
The resource persons highlighted the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act and the rights of the consumers. Dupty Chief LADC Kulgam also spoke on the occasion and expressed his views on the safeguarding and protection of consumer rights as mentioned in the Consumer Protection Act. The general public was made aware of their rights and remedies available to them under the Consumer Protection Law besides sensitizing them about the free legal services being provided to the consumers by District Legal Services Authority Kulgam.
On the eve of ‘National Consumer Day’, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kulgam today organized an awareness programme to sensitise people about consumer rights here at Town Hall kulgam.
On the occasion,Dupty Chief LADC Ms. Roshan Ara,Advocate Mohd Iqbal, Zaheer Abass ,Rayees Ahmad and Mudasir Ahmad and Abass Hussain TSOs of FCS&CA Department of Kulgam, highlighted the rights available to the consumer under the relevant law.
Programme was attended by Assistant Director FCS & CA, along with TSO , Store Keepers and Dealers .On the behalf of DLSA the programme was attended by LADC, Panel Lawyers, Staff Members and PLVs of DLSA Kulgam. Furthermore some senior citizen were also among the participants.
