Jammu:
The Jammu and Kashmir Government has issued a directive barring the recognition of higher qualifications obtained by School Education Department employees without prior authorization.

According to a Government order, degrees earned through regular mode without sanctioned study leave will not be considered for seniority or promotion.
Employees who pursued such qualifications during service without permission will face penalties, including the withholding of increments and possible disciplinary action, the order said.
The decision, based on recommendations from the Finance and Law Departments, aims to enforce Civil Service Rules and prevent misuse of regulations.
