Jammu Police Crack Minor Boy’s Murder Case, Three Arrested With Weapons

 Jammu Police on Tuesday cracked the murder case of a minor boy and arrested three accused persons with sharp weapons in Bishnah area in the city outskirts.
Police said that murder case has been successfully solved in the Bishnah area.
Police sharing details added that on January 13, 2025 at 11:55 PM, an alert was received reporting that an unidentified individual had been brutally murdered with a sharp-edged weapon and the body was lying along Bhatyari- Bishnah Road.
The deceased was later identified as Ajay Kumar,17, son of Romesh Lal, resident of Bhatyari, Bishnah.
Police later registered a case and started the investigation.
Police said that the deceased was a conductor of a mini bus.
As per police, a special investigation team meticulously worked through technical analysis and human intelligence to track down the suspects.
“The persistent efforts led to the identification of few suspects and police parties carried out raids at various locations within Jammu and adjacent districts to nab the culprits,” said police.
They said that three accused persons were arrested and identified as Anmol Sharma, 24, Nikhil Sharma, 29, both residents of Jakh, Samba and Nishant Choudhary,23, of Vijaypur, Samba.
During sustained questioning, police said that the accused confessed to the crime, revealing that the murder stemmed from a personal rivalry. According to their statements, Nikhil Sharma launched a fatal assault on the victim using a sharp weapon while Anmol Sharma and Nishant Choudhary were actively involved in executing the crime, which they had planned to avenge the personal rivalry over altercation which had happened between the accused Anmol Sharma and other party.
As part of the ongoing investigation, police have recovered the weapons used in the crime while vehicle involved in the commission of the offence has also been seized,police said.
With all three suspects in custody and key evidence secured, the investigation is progressing towards a watertight prosecution, police added.
