Inquiry Panel Formed For Suspended Mining Official

The  Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed a three-member inquiry committee to probe allegations against Naveen Kumar, former District Mineral Officer of Kathua, who was suspended in December 2024.
As per an order, the panel includes Dr. Nargis Suraiya, Special Secretary to the Government, Rayaz Hussain, Director Finance, and Dr. Raj Kumar, Deputy Director, Geology and Mining.

The committee has been tasked with submitting its findings and recommendations within 30 days. The move follows instructions from the Deputy Chief Minister’s office.
