Government Employee Booked Over Sexual Harassment Allegations in Kashmir

Srinagar:A senior assistant at the Zonal Education Office in South Kashmir’s Tral, in District Pulwama, has been suspended for alleged sexual harassment of women at the workplace.An order issued by the Directorate of School Education reads, “Pending an enquiry into his conduct, Mr Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, Senior Assistant at the Zonal Education Office in Tral, District Pulwama, is hereby suspended with immediate effect. He is attached to the Directorate of School Education Kashmir, Srinagar.”
Furthermore, the District Level Committee for the Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013, shall investigate the matter and submit a detailed report along with recommendations within a period of 10 days.
