CUJ Professor Deepak Pathania Ranked among World’s top 2% Scientists

Deepak Pathania, Professor, Central University of Jammu India figured among World’s top 2% Scientists list released by World Renowned Stanford University USA in the area of Chemical Sciences. The report was prepared by Prof. John P.A. Loannidis of the Stanford University, USA, and his team at Stanford University has listed over 100,000 Scientists, whose published research manuscripts have accelerated progress in their respective fields and influenced the productivity of other researcher’s work as well. Prof Pathania ranked among World’s Top 2% Scientists for their research publications citations for the year 2019 and their lifetime contribution to their specific fields of research. Him Science Congress Association has organized more than 12 International level event and motivated school students towards sciences and society in the different part of Himachal Pradesh. The Association is also providing scholarship to disserving needy students and adopting the schools. 

Prof. Pathania is from sub tehsil, Tihra (Village, Kot) Sarkaghat of Mandi. His recognition in the world’s top Scientists List has placed in the global map of Science and has brought great pride to the central university of jammu, family, relatives and friends.  

Deepak Pathania has joined Sardhar Vallabhbhai Patel Cluster University Mandi on deputation in the month of Oct, 2020 from Central University of Jammu. Professor Pathania has research h-index of 44 and i10-index of 87 to his credit. He had about 165 publications in reputed International and National Journals and 148 publications in conferences to his credit. He had authorized 14 books in different areas of interest from believed publishers. He had guided 17 Ph.D and 14 M.Phil students and 42 M.Sc research projects for their respective degrees. Presently he is guiding 2 students for their Ph.D degree. He is editorial members and reviewer of different national and international journals. He has also filed 11 national patents. He has published 21 book chapters from national and international publishers. He is also serving as chairman of many committees and court member of reputed Universities of the country. He is member of Academic Council and Board of Studies of different Universities. He also served as President of Jammu Central University Shikshak Sangh affiliated to Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh from 2017-2019. He has completed many research projects funded from Government organizations. He has diverse experience and served in many organizations in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir in the capacity of Heads and Deans. He is member of different professional scientific societies. He has presented his research findings in many international platforms and recipient of many National and International awards. He is reviewers of different international journals. He is life members of different scientific societies. His area of research includes polymer based composites, nanocomposite ion exchangers, environmental chemistry, metal sensors, photocatalysis degradation of organic and inorganic pollutants etc.

Rathore expressed their felicitations to Prof. Pathania for bringing laurels to the Associations and Dr. Mahinder Thakur and Dr. Sunil Kumar, General Secretary of HSCA, Dr Sita Ram Former General  Secretary of HSCA and Dr. Jagdeep Verma Founder member of HSCA extended their heartiest congratulations for his commendable work which got due recognition through this study.
