BUDGAM:Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drug peddling from the society, Budgam Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his residential house.
Police Post Mochwa received information from reliable sources that one person namely Saqlain Mushtaq S/o Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat R/o Batpora Chadoora has concealed contraband substance at his residential house for its illegal sale and trade.
Upon this information, after receiving search warrant from Honble Court, police party of Police Post Mochwa headed by Shri Mohammad Adil I/C PP Mochwa raided the house and conducted the search in presence of Executive Magistrate and independent witness. During search of residential house of accused person 545 grams of charas like substance, 230 gram of grinded charas like substance and 33.10 Kg of semi grinded cannabis leaves were recovered from his house and he was subsequently arrested on the spot.
A Case FIR No.11/2025 U/S 8/20 NDPS has been registered at Police Station Chadoora and investigation set into motion.
