The country's new Chief of Army Staff, General Manoj Mukund Narwane, has spoken about the pension of freedom fighters to the warriors of 1965 and 1971. Army Chief Narwane has said that, 'The Army has proposed to the Central Government that pensioners of freedom fighters should be given to the warriors of 1965 and 1971 war'. Narwane was addressing people on Veterans Day.

During this, he wished the families of the martyred soldiers and gave information about the proposal for pension. Army Chief Narwane said thatin the year 2019, the army has helped 246 officers and 11500 JCOs to get new jobs after retirement. On the Fourth Armed Forces Veterans Day, the Army Chief said that we are including women in the contingents of the military police. A total of 1700 Corps will be included in the military police.

Army Chief Narwane further said that from January 6 this year, training of 101 women has been started. Let us tell you that General Narwane was on the post of Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Vice Chief of Army Staff)before becoming Chief of the Army Staff. Before becoming the Deputy Chief of the Army Staff, he was heading the Eastern Command which oversees the nearly 4,000-km-long border with China.
