He said that BJP is delaying elections for no reason and is just prolonging bureaucratic setup and rule in Jammu and Kashmir which is proxy rule of Bhartiya Janta Party.
Singh asked BJP Government and Election Commission of India to restore democracy and to hold elections without any delay adding that BJP is delaying polls as it is well aware that things are out of its hands and people are ready to teach them a lesson for misgovernance.

Similarly, AAP's state spokesperson Gagan Partap Singh in his statement said that BJP is delaying elections in Jammu and Kashmir as it is aware of the fact that it has lost its ground.

He added that on one hand Union Home Minister expresses his concern towards security scenario for holding elections and then issue a statement that stone pelters are now part of development and both these statements are parallel to each other while both army and police have mentioned normalcy in security scenario which is conducive for holding polls.
AAP leader Yashpal Kundal on the other hand took a dig at BJP and said that BJP itself is depriving people of Jammu and Kashmir from democratic rights as it do not want to see a public elected government in office.
" BJP wants to rule J&K through its proxy bureaucratic setup as it is well aware that people of Jammu and Kashmir will vote against BJP in next elections." Kundal said.
AAP leaders further stated that today's protest is an eye opener for both BJP and ECI with demand for restoration of democracy by holding elections without any further delay.
