Prof. R.D Sharma Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu visited Govt. Degree College Bhaderwah today. He was given a warm welcome and a guard of honor was presented by NCC wing of the college under the supervision of Dr. Javid Iqbal NCC officer and the welcome song was presented by Miss Priya and party. 

During his visit, Prof. Sharma had an interaction with the students and faculty members of the college. The interactive session started with a welcome address by Prof. S.S Bhalwal. Prof. Bhalwal gave the brief overview of the teaching and other activities and also highlighted the various issues and problems pertaining to the college. 

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Sharma called upon the students to imbibe high moral values so that their energies are channelized productively for building a harmonious and a peaceful society. He asked the students to focus on the academics and extracurricular programmes like NCC, NSS etc and advised them to make best use of the resources available in the college.

 Prof. Sharma also deliberated on the issue of CBCS system of both UG and PG, provision of research guides from college faculty and streamlining the academic and examination system of affiliated colleges of winter zone.

Appreciating the efforts of the college to meet the requirements of the learners and extending support services to them, Prof Sharma hoped that the students are benefited academically. Prof. Sharma also had thorough deliberations on various other issues and also responded to the queries raised by the students and the faculty members of the college. 

The session was attended by all the staff members and a large number of students both from the PG and UG departments of the college. The programme was compared by Prof. Prithvi Raj, HOD Commerce and ended with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Javid Iqbal Zargar, HOD Botany.
