Taking yet another step towards the growth and development of the students Udhampur  Campus, University of Jammu organized Mega Placement Drive to provide job opportunities to the students of Udhampur Campus in particular and other institutes and colleges of region in general at its campus.  Prof. Hardeep Chahal, Rector, Udhampur Campus, congratulated the faculty members of Udhampur Campus for taking this initiative and carrying out such an event for the first time in the campus. Dr. Neetu Kumari, HOD, Department of Commerce, Udhampur Campus, University of Jammu welcomed all the guests and students to the one day mega placement event organized by the campus. She stressed upon the need of creating more and more job opportunities in the state especially for the students who hail from far flung areas so as to cater the needs of unemployed youth in the state. The drive was conducted by Meenakshi Tickoo, MD, AES Digital World and Chander Pandita, Marketing Manager, AES Digital World in a pre-counseling placement session gave detailed information about the organization and the placements carried out by them in various parts of the state. He explained the entire selection process to the students and also made them aware that how they have successfully placed students in different multinational companies like Wipro, HCL, KPMG, Axis bank, HDFC bank, etc. The placement drive received an overwhelmed response and more than 100 students from various institutions of the district participated in the drive and got an opportunity to showcase their potential.

At the end, Jhanvi Khanna, lecturer, Department of Economics, Udhampur Campus concluded the placement drive and thanked all the guests and participants for their active participation and for making it a successful event. She also assured that events of such type will be carried in future as well.

The whole process was conducted under the supervision of Pradeep Kumar, lecturer, Department of Commerce, Udhampur Campus. He suggested the students to make full use of their technical skills for employability to various organizations.
