Srinagar:
Peoples Democratic Party top leadership has reached out to its former legislator Firdous Tak who had raised "voice of dissent" for its decision not to contest on Doda-Udhampur LS seat.
Sources said that Party President Ms. Mehbooba Mufti had tasked some senior party leaders to talk to Tak, who had urged PDP to reconsider its decision in the larger interest of Chenab Valley.
"We have spoken to him and asked him to consider larger political situation within and outside the state", one of them said adding, "He has not revolted but only pushed his opinion for consideration which must be appreciated".
It was learnt that alarmed  by open dissent and pro-Muslim stand by the former legislator several Congress leaders also approached PDP urging it to intervene.
Despite several attempts Firdous Tak could nit be contacted for comments.
