Pakistan again violates Ceasefire in Poonch, High alert issued against Infiltration

Pakistan again resorted to ceasefire Violation along LoC in Shahpur sector. The Indian Army is giving befitting reply to the enemy. Though Indian Army is thrawting all attempts of infiltration however, A high alert has been issued on the Jammu-Kathua National Highway on the information of terrorists going towards Kashmir. Police and security forces are checking the vehicles going to the valley by putting blocks at many places. On 31 January, after infiltration from the international border, a group of terrorists were going to Kashmir in a truck, who were killed in an encounter near the Ban Toll Plaza, Nagrota.

According to defense sources, security agencies received inputs on Saturday, 22 February 2020 that a group of terrorists have left for Kashmir. Since then, police and security forces have been kept on high alert. Strict vigil is being exercised on the highway from Kathua to Jammu. It is also being said that since last Saturday evening, every vehicle is being checked on the highway after getting directions from the police, army and security forces to check the blockade. According to sources, security has been increased since Saturday evening due to the possibility of infiltration from the international border. On Sunday, vehicles going to Kashmir at Saror toll plaza were intensively investigated. The checking campaign was going at night also.
