Scores of youth were arrested during the nocturnal raids by government forces from different areas of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, reports said.

Reports said that the joint forces led by Jammu and Kashmir police, Army’s Rashtriya Rifles and Central Reserve Police Force conducted these raids to detain the youth.

Police officials while confirming the news said that the youth were detained for their suspected involvement in different grenade attacks and stone pelting incidents in the district.

Meanwhile, a shutdown is being observed in Pulwama town and several villages of the district against the arrests.
