Jammu:Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua celebrated its second Annual Day “Prayaas-2”
(Darkness to light). This came across clearly during the Annual Day celebration 2018, “Prayaas-
2 show casing “A positive and constant strive to give our best efforts, eventually. We will
overcome our immediate problems and find we are ready for greater challenges.”
Mr. Rajeev Jasrotia, MLA Kathua was the Chief Guest, Mr. Vishesh Mahajan (KAS), DC
Excise Lakhanpur was the guest of honour and Dr. Ram Murti Sharma (Ex HOD Govt. Degree
College Kathua), was the special invitee. The program began with the ceremonial lightening of
the auspicious lamp by all the dignitaries amidst reciting of shlokas. Sanskritians Performed
“Saraswati Vandhana” and spread the magic by their artistic performances like “Papa Mere Papa
and Phooloan ka Taaro Ka”. We in Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua teach our children the value
of caring so besides caring of human being caring of nature is very important so our students
performed “Prem Se Humko Jeene Do” according to the need of the hour. Jammu Sanskritians
presented a skit on “Bete Bachao Beti Padao” conveying a message to “Save Girl Educate Girl”
students enacted on the story of Neerja. An airhostess who saved the lives of many passengers it
also conveyed a message that girls can do everything. A beautiful presentation of various folk
dances of J&K showing our culture touched the hearts of the gathering. In his speech Chief
Guest Mr. Rajeev Jasrotia (MLA) motivated the students with his speech. He appreciated the
efforts of students and staff. He further added that in order to gain success we have to face many
difficulties and face them with courage. He also said that this is a new platform for the people of
Kathua. In his speech Guest of honour Mr. Vishesh Mahajan (KAS) DC Excise Lakhanpur
appreciated the function and motivated the students to work hard and struggle for success. In his
speech special invitee Dr. Ram Murti Sharma (Ex HOD Govt Degree College Kathua) said that
such programmes based on moral values should be encouraged more and more due to which
children will be able to understand them nicely.
Mrs. Shuchita Gupta, Principal of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua with immense pride presented
the Annual Report showcasing and broadcasting the accolades and laurels notched by the
students of the school in their pursuit for excellence in all fields ie sports, scholastic and co-
scholastic etc. Mrs. Shuchita Gupta spoke about her future plans for nurturing and promoting
Jammu Sanskriti School kathua. Chairman Mr. Harpreet Singh Anand also appreciated the hard
work done by the students to make the annual function an unforgettable event.
Parents of our children, special invitees and principals from various reputed schools were also
present on this occasion. Mrs. Rohini Aima vice chairperson cum principal of Jammu Sanskriti
School, Jammu concluded the programme with a vote of thanks.
At last the students of mesmerized the audience with thrilling beats of Bhangra.
