Jammu:The father of nation Mahatma Gandhi has said years before that real India lives in villages and the salvation of India lies in cottage. Therefore, any transformation in India should begin at villages. So villages should be involved in Governance. Keeping same views in mind, back to village programme of the state government is a welcome and historical development. The programme implies that officers and officials will go to the doorsteps of villagers and solve their problems and issues.
Today, Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu also showed keen interest in this important initiative taken by the government by participating in a cultural event organized by the authorities in Arnia, a village near to border area.
The chief guest for the event was Mr. Ramesh Saini, Chairman Municipal Corporation, Arnia and Mr. Sham Lal, Vice-Chairman Municipal Corporation; Arnia was the Guest of honour. All Panches & Sarpanches from nearby villages along with community members were also present on the occasion.
The students enthusiastically participated by showcasing their latent through various activities and performances. They entertained the villagers through their group songs, dance performances and also some discussion on major issues like child marriage, domestic violence etc. The major effect was created through the Nukkad Natak which enthralled the villagers and they could not control their emotions and appreciated the students a lot.
The Chief guest gave special thanks to the management, staff and students of Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu for sparing their time and putting up their efforts for making the day a wonderful one. He also said that the aim of the programme is that people should be made aware of the government schemes so that they will reap the benefits of these schemes.
