Jammu:Blood donation is one of the most significant contributions that any human can make towards society. We live in an era where life has become so unpredictable. Many patients & accident victims die for want of blood as it is not easily available. Sometimes the blood group of the patient is rarely found & it is difficult to get at the time of need. Organising a Blood Donation Camp is a noble gesture. We must keep this aptitude up at any cost. Our blood banks are short of required blood. By organizing such camps we may help them to enrich their capacity.
Keeping the cause of humanity in mind to save lives, today the precincts of Jammu Sanskriti School,Jammu were brimming with humanness when almost entire lot of school turned to donate blood. The camp of blood donation was organized to create awareness about how can we contribute substantially to the cause of humanity.
The entire blood donation was conducted under the surveillance of team of doctors & nurses from GMC,Jammu. Dr. Meena Sidhu, HOD; Dept. of Immuno Hematology GMC, Jammu & Dinesh Gupta (Hon’ble Secretary; Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu region) inaugurated the Camp. Principal cum Vice-Chairperson Ms Rohini Aima; Chairperson Mr. Harpreet Singh Anand , Coordinators, teachers which would be used to save the lives of seriously ill people, accident victims. The camp was a huge success & a moment of pride as it brought teachers, students, parents, drivers, helpers & other volunteers together & created in them an awareness of the need for donating blood.
Prior to the conduct of camp, Ms Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice-Chairperson of the school had an interactive awareness session on Blood Donation so as to create awareness & opportunities for volunteers. She asserted that Blood Donation is therapeutically beneficial to the donors in terms of efficient blood flow mechanism & the main purpose of humans is to serve humanity which is somehow not evident these days. We have organized the camp to epitomize humanity for our children so that they will also serve the same once attained appropriate age.
The camp culminated by giving Certificates of appreciation, Donation Card & refreshment as a token of gratitude to all the donors.
