Government forces on Saturday morning launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Hajin town of north Kashmir's Bandipora District.

Official sources said following inputs of presence of some militants in the area Army's 13 RR unit , SOG and Jammu and Kashmir police launched cordon and search operation in twin mohalla's of shakoordin mohalla and Bonmohalah locality of Hajin around 5am and conducted house to house searches.

Official said that forces could not find any militant during the searches and the CASO was called off amid heavy stone pelting protests in the area.
