Jammu:
On the one hand, BJP is trying to clinch its lost ground in Jammu and Kashmir with major rejig last month; Youth Wing of BJP(BJYM) seems to be working as an undercover agent to give a revival to struggling Indian Youth Congress as BJYM has brutally failed to expand its ground in Jammu and Kashmir.
BJP which got around 40 percent mandate from youth in 2014 General elections is on its way to loose this credible young voteshare in Jammu and Kashmir due to non-functioning of its Youth Wing(BJYM). The youth wing of party is defunct from last 2.5 years. While all other wings of BJP were actively involved in promoting the centrally sponsored schemes and programmes, the BJYM has not participated in promoting the central government schemes for youth and has totally failed on all fronts.
Sources revealed that Senior BJP leaders of the state have hijacked the youth wing of the party for personal benefits.
As new president Ravinder Raina is likely to announce its new team soon, there rises a new hope among the party workers that Party’s youth wing will get a dynamic face as BJYM President who could expand party’s ground and boost ground workers of BJYM in the State.
