Srinagar:District Development Commissioner, Poonch Mohammad Aijaz Asad today conducted on site inspection of ongoing developmental works at various places in the district alongwith district/sectoral officers of the Executing agencies. The mini secretariat building which got damaged in a terrorist encounter sometimes back is under renovation apart from other completion works. DDC expressed concern over slow pace of work and directed the R&B department to expedite the works so that all offices could be shifted in the interest of public at large.
DDC also toured the Indoor Stadium and set a deadline of 20th June for completion of the facility. Further, during inspection of 100 bedded Girls hostel at Banwat a deadline of four months has been set for completion.
The DDC also paid visit to the construction site of kalai Bridge and directed the OC GREF for the completion of bridge in minimum possible time. He also directed the GREF authorities to repair Poonch Surankote and KG Mendhar roads.
The DDC also visited Degree college surankote and on spot instructions were issued to R&B department to handover the college building to Higher Education Department. Later on, the DDC visited the TRC Complex Surankote .
DDC also paid a visit at proposed Jammu University Campus at Chandak apart from a number of other places including PMGSY roads at Shendara, Kalai, etc. He concluded the tour at Jaranwali Gali-Harni Road where directions have been issued to PMGSY officials to speed up the grade second works and make it ready for blacktopping.
In his maiden tour for inspection of the major developmental works DDC resolved lot of inter-departmental and coordination issues and emphasised on completion of these projects within the deadline.
