The last date for filling application forms for online entrance-based admissions to postgraduate, Honours and integrated programmes of 2018-19 academic session at five constituent colleges of the Cluster University of Jammu is May 9, which is likely to be extended for a few more days.

Sources said a notification in this regard was yet to be issued by the Cluster University but in view of the poor response of students towards postgraduate programmes, there was every possibility of a date extension. The entrance test is slated to be held on May 27 while the result will be out by June 7.

“Admission to a programme in the university and its constituent colleges will be made on the basis of merit in the Cluster University Jammu Entrance Test-2018,” an official said. In all, 31 programmes are being offered by the university.

“When the programmes were announced by the university, we were hopeful of an overwhelming response but it was not the case. Though there is no exact figure of how many aspirants have filled online forms till now, certainly there is a need to extend the last date so that more aspirants can fill online forms,” the official added.

As far as admissions in undergraduate programmes in different streams in the constituent colleges is concerned, the notification has not been issued by the university yet.
