In continuation of its steadfast efforts towards eradication of drug menace from the society, Budgam Police has arrested 01 drug Peddler and recovered Psychotropic substance from his Possession.

The Police party of PS Magam established a Check Point at Adina wherein they intercepted a person whose movement was suspicious and upon seeing the Police party, the said person tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully. 

During the search of the said Person Charas like substance weighing about 122 grams wrapped in Corn husk concealed in a nylon bag was recovered from his individual possession.

The individual has been identified as 

Aamir Nazir Lone s/o Nazir Ahmed Lone R/O Peth Makhama 

and he was arrested on the Spot and lodged in Police Custody.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 51/2024 under section 8/20 NDPS act  has been registered in PS Magam and investigation has been initiated.

The people of Budgam are requested to come forward regarding any information of drug peddling in their neighbourhood. Budgam Police assures that the identity of the informer will not be divulged anywhere.
