Fearing major setback from its former Cabinet Minister, Bhartiya Janta Party's State Unit is trying hard to make Ch. Lal Singh agree not to fight upcoming elections from Doda-Udhampur seat. 
Sources told UNT that after PDP's decision of not placing it's candidates in twim seats of Jammu region, BJP seems to have almost lost the prestigious Doda Udhampur seat.
Now, Bhatiya Janta Party is holding series of backdoor talks with Ch. Lal Singh.
