Jammu:Bhagat Mahasabha J&k unit organises a State level function for celeberation of 621th prakash utsav of SANT KABIR JI SAHEB here at Abhinav theatre Jammu on 17th June, In which follower/devotees of Sant Kabir from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir and from neighbouring state like Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana participated to pay homeage to great sant of bakhti movement . People from the different areas reached at the venue in the shape of jhankies by chanting slogan and bhajan of Sant Kabir . The programme started with garlanding the portrait of Kabir ji followed by satsang and kirtan by Swami Milkhi Ram Bhagat Gorday walay and bhai Harmeet singh ji, while singing the sabad dohe and sakhian of sadguru Kabir saheb ji ,Swami ji asked the sangat to fallow the teaching of sant kabir sahib ji as only his teachings can bring megh community out of backwardness & darkage. He asked megh community to stop bad habits of drinking alcohol,smoking,dowery,etc.Sh. Raj Kumar Bhagat Retired Commissioner Sect (IAS) the guest of honour. Sh Pawan Bhagat state Chairman joined hands with J&K Bhagat Maha Sabha to handover the trophies to meritorious students. Sh. Mahinder Bhagat appealed the people of samaj to unite on the one platform for proper upliftment of samaj in right direction. Prop. Raj Kumar Bhagat National president Bhagat Mahasabha spoke on the occasion and highlights the achievement of the sabha . he reiterated that Bhagat Mahasabha is only social organization of bhagat/megh samaj which working restlessly nationwide , it has created world largest social network i.e Bhagat Network by which people of Bhagat community from every nook and corner of world interacting with each other and sharing their ideas for upliftment of samaj. Bodh Raj Bhagat National vice president Bhagat masabha also spoke on the occasion and demanded Gazetted holiday on Kabir jayanti in j&k and appealed the samaj to leave the bad habits like smoking ,drinking and taking and giving dowry. Mahinder Bhagat state president also address the sangat and appealed the Governor for restoration of reservation in promotions in j&k also suggest some ideas for upliftment of megh samaj he also highlights the achievement of Bhagat Mahasabha in last ten years also threw light on the life and struggle of Saheed Bhagat Amar Nath. Jai Bhagat State coordinator Demanded the land and hostel in Jammu for SC students who comes from the far-flung areas. Sh. tarsem Bhagat suggest the sangat to increase the mutual co- operation amongthe samaj which is a need of hour for unity of samaj.
