Doda: To pay tribute to martyr Naib Subedar Chuni Lal, Ashok Chakra (Posthumous), Vir Chakra, Sena Medal, for his glorious saga of gallant acts, the Indian Army organised a Wreath Laying Ceremony at Gatha Park, Bhadarwah.
The ceremony commenced with wreath laying on the statue of the brave soldier who had made the supreme sacrifice for the motherland upholding highest traditions of Indian Army. The ceremony was attended by brave martyr’s parents, wife, large number of persons including Civil dignitaries, Ex-servicemen, war veterans and Veer Naris from Bhadarwah Tehsil, Four teachers and 49 students from Colonels Bright Public School, Agra who have come for a visit to the valley also paid homage to the martyr. The series of gallant acts of this martyr has surely given him recognition as true epitome of Bravery and Sacrifice which one should emulate. The forum was also used to enlighten all ex-servicemen and war veterans about latest welfare measures being extended by the Government.
