Jammu:A PDP MLA on Monday told the Legislative Assembly that a JK cadre Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer was awaiting posting.
MLA Sonwar, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, however, revealed that J&K government had not pursued the case with government of India (GoI).
“It is unfortunate that an able IFS officer from our state has no place here,” Mir said. “The JK government has not sent its notice to GoI that we need his services.”
Mir asked Mehbooba Mufti led government to immediately direct the forest department to pursure the case “so that state is benefitted by the services of son of the soil”.
Mir said that one Shahnawaz Ahmad Bhat qualified IFS in 2016 and ranked 24. “Bhat has completed training but is mot posted anywhere yet.”
